The company Ligne W was founded in 2008 by Sébastien Lezier, a wine expert. From the outset, the founder's aim was to produce innovative wine accessories that are characterised by their clear design, stand out thanks to the use of special materials and are easy to use.

Stilvolles, modernes Sommeliermesser handgefertigt in Frankreich. Für die Prestige Serie wird nur erlesenes Holz verbaut. Es wird nach alter Tradition in vielen Arbeitsschritten in Thiers, der Hauptstadt der französischen Schneidwaren, hergestellt.
Die Wendelung mit Seele (bezeichnet den Innenraum zwischen der Spirale) verteilt die Zugkraft gleichmäßig und verhindert so das Zerbrechen des (auch längeren) Korkens. Die Hebelwirkung des zweistufigen Sommeliers ist optimal austariert und erleichtert das Herausziehen des Korkens. Im Heber ist ein Flaschenöffner für Kronkorken integriert. Für den Griff wurde Violettholz verarbeitet. Die Edelstahlteile des Sommeliers sind im Finish aufwendig spiegelpoliert.
