Nino Nista knife Saracca Romagnola horntip 20 cm
The ‘Saracca Romagnola’ is one of the most characteristic traditional pocket knives of central and northern Italy. Its origins date back to everyday rural life in the Romagna region of the 19th and early 20th centuries, where it was prized as a versatile work and utility knife. Its name derives from the ‘Saracca’ – a salted and dried herring that was once a simple yet valuable foodstuff in the countryside. Its elongated, slender shape, tapering towards the tip, is reminiscent of the characteristic design of the knife’s handle. In regional tradition, this knife is also known as the ‘Curtel cun el Riz’. This name refers to the distinctive ‘curl’ in the spring on the back of the blade, which makes it easier to unlock and close the knife. With its unmistakable shape and deep roots in Italian knife-making culture, the Saracca Romagnola remains to this day a symbol of authenticity, craftsmanship and the history of an entire region. scales 11,2 cmtoal lenght 20 cmblade 9 cmsteel inox X20 CR 13, matt
