"Ein Mann, ein Messer" heißt das Motto der Firma, so ist ein ausgebildeter Messermacher alleine für seine Produkte verantwortlich. Nach der Herstellung gehen die Messer durch die Hände des Werkstattmeisters.

Honoré Durand Laguiole Prestige Olive poliert Korkenzieher 12 cm
polierte Ausführung - klassisches Laguiole Messer der PRESTIGE Serie mit Griffschalen aus Olivenholz, ausgestattet mit einem Korkenzieher Das schön gemaserte Holz, welches zur Gattung der Ölbäume gehört, wird seit dem 4. Jahrtausend v. Chr. als Nutzpflanze kultiviert. Es ist sehr hart und hat einen feinen Duft.Ausgestattet ist dieses Messer mit einem stabilen Korkenzieher. Dieser hat fünf Windungen und verrichtet sicher seine Arbeit. Der Griff ist mit dem traditionellen Hirtenkreuz dekoriert. Für die Klinge kommt 14C28N Sandvikstahl zum Einsatz. Dieser rostfreie schnitthaltige Stahl ist pflegeleicht und gut nachzuschärfen. Die geschmiedete Feder ist traditionell verziert und je nachdem welcher Schmiedemeister das Messer gefertigt hat, sieht diese Verzierung anders aus. Das Messer trägt sozusagen dessen Unterschrift.(Guillochage) Zur Geschichte des Laguioles mit Korkenzieher: Da nur der älteste Sohn des Hauses die elterliche Schmiede erbte und weiterführen durfte, suchten sich die anderen Söhne der Schmiedemeister Arbeit in der großen Stadt Paris. Viele fanden dort eine Anstellung in der Gastronomie. Hier war ein Korkenzieher unentbehrlich. Zu dieser Zeit trugen die Männer jedoch nur ein einfaches Laguiole in der Hosentasche, welches sie beim Verlassen des Elternhauses mitbekommen hatten. Aus dieser "Not" heraus entwickelte sich das Laguiole-Messer mit Korkenzierher, denn die Männer wollten auf ihr geliebtes Taschenmesser nicht verzichten.
