The bolsters are handmade from Mokumé Game. The bee and back spring are forged from one piece. The back spring is decorated with a particularly fine engraving by hand. The bee is just as beautifully crafted.
In addition to the elegant handle scales, the extremely sharp blade made from stainless Rose Damascus is certainly an eye-catcher. The Damascus has 120 layers and an HRC of 56-58, and the blade is very fine ground. The finish of this unique piece is polished.

Before the Laguiole knife existed, the area around the Aubrac (Auvergne) had already built a knife and called it Capuchadou. The farmers of that time used it for all daily tasks, from eating to caring for animals to self-defence. The Fontenille Pataud workshop is reissuing and reinterpreting the CAPUCHADOU knife, a pioneer of the Laguiole, for you.
The 12 cm long, ergonomic handle is made from amourette wood. The wood has a beautiful grain. Resort and backspring are forged from one piece. The cloverleaf is decorated with an inlay of cornaline (gemstone). The resort and plates are elaborately chiselled by hand.

The Laguiole GENTLEMAN knife is a little smaller and lighter than the Laguiole SPORT. The GENTLEMAN was designed together with Robert Beillonnet (M.O.F. 1997 and 2000). The compact, robust pocket knife is perfect for anyone looking for a wide and solid blade in a small format. The knife is equipped with a smooth-running blade locking system. The blade locks securely. This backlock at the end of the handle allows the knife to be closed gently.The 10,5 cm long handle is made from cow bone. The shepherd's cross is precisely attached. The bolster and back spring are forged from a single piece. The back spring is hand-decorated with loving care.The sharp blade is made from stainless 14C28N Sandvik steel. The Laguiole MAGNUM sommelier knife fits perfectly in the hand. The ergonomically shaped handle and the two-stage lifter make it easy to remove the cork. The handle scales of the corkscrew are made from buffalohorn tip. The resort is forged from a single piece. The back spring is decorated by hand and adorned with the classic bee. The corkscrew consists of three parts: the capsule cutter with a classic grind, the conically shaped corkscrew and the two-stage lifter with integrated bottle opener. The finish is shiny.

Before the Laguiole knife existed, the area around the Aubrac (Auvergne) had already built a knife and called it Capuchadou. The farmers of that time used it for all daily tasks, from eating to caring for animals to self-defence. The Fontenille Pataud workshop is reissuing and reinterpreting the CAPUCHADOU knife, a pioneer of the Laguiole, for you.
The 12 cm long, ergonomic handle is made from walnut burlwood. The wood has a beautiful grain. Resort and backspring are forged from one piece. The cloverleaf is decorated with an inlay of lapis lazuli (gemstone). The resort and plates are elaborately chiselled by hand.
The wide, sharp blade is made from stainless 14C28N Sandvik steel. It retains its edge and is easy to resharpen. The finish of the fine slipjoint knife is mat.
