Laguiole en Aubrac twisted Damascus mammoth ivory crust doubleplates spiral spring 12 cm

Exclusive 12 cm Laguiole knife with handle scales made of valuable smooth polished mammoth ivory crust, made with a hand-polished double plate - equipped with a hand-forged Damascus blade

The ivory used here is the outer part of the mammoth tusk. The shepherd's cross is omitted, as the filigree handle material could crack. The back spring was guilloched to form a spiral, and the plates were decorated to match. The line damascus blade, forged in Laguiole en Aubrac's own forge, is the finishing touch and certainly the icing on the cake.

Only a few manufacturers still produce their own blades. The steel is easy to sharpen and retains its edge. The non-stainless blade can be maintained with commercially available oil.
Mitres and liners are highly polished.
