Roland LANNIER "Spring Heeled Jack" FATCarbon dark matter copper
Roland Lannier work the Heeled Jack! - Handle scales made of comic book pieces
another handmade gentleman's knife from the workshop of Roland LANNIER.
With this simple yet unusual knife, he continues his model series. The handles of this special knife are made very nice FAT carbon. The blade is matt, the handle is polished.
The spring of the slipjoint is an innovation: it is mounted like a sandwich around a thin layer of G10. This and the titanium screws make the knife a lightweight. The blade is made of 14C28N, a Sandvik steel that is nitrogen boosted, which reduces its susceptibility to corrosion. It is cryogenically treated and hardened to 60 HRC.
Spring Heeled Jack is an urban legend of Victorian England, a figure who possessed a bizarre appearance and a supernatural leaping power through which he terrified people in the 1830-1880s, attacking them abruptly and disappearing again. Countless events led to the character being featured in dime novels, plays and literary works, thus creating the connection to superheroes.
