Philippe Soeuvre

After fifteen years in the blacksmith's and cutler's trade, training in damask and artistic blacksmithing with François PITAUD and further training in mechanics with Claude GIRAUD, Philippe Soeuvre was awarded the EPV (Entreprise Patrimoine Vivant) label for his work in 2010.

It was renewed in 2015. He also received a master craftsman title and two awards in Thiers in 2013 and 2014. His speciality is mainly damask, be it puff pastry, mosaic or figurative. He tries to revive ancient knowledge and uses only iron, steel and pure nickel, which is why he has to return to basic techniques such as the tranchant rapporté or the sanmai.
