Saladini knife PATTADA horn tip

handmade regional knife from Italy, made by the company SALADINI from Scarperia in the heart of Tuscany,

the balde is made from stainless twisted damascus steel, the finish is shiny, the scales are made from horn tip

This is a Sardinian knife par excellence; in fact, it takes its name from the small town of Pattada which is famous for producing this type of knife. The model we offer draws inspiration from the classic Sardinian model, although we have completely revised its structure, putting steel liners inside the handle and a simple spring mechanism that partially blocks the blade. We craft two versions of the Pattada, one with studs and one without, replacing the classic hose clamp around the bolster.

SALADINI

Saladini is based in Scarperia, a small town in Tuscany about 20 kilometres from Florence. Its landmark is the Palazzo Pretorio in Scarperia, with its striking tower.

Scarperia was founded on 8 September 1306 and its special feature is the old tradition of knife making, or rather ‘cutting iron’, as these objects used to be called in the old days.

Saladini wants to preserve this ancient tradition of handcrafting pocket knives, cutlery and chef's knives. Everything is made with the care and attention that objects created with love and dedication deserve.
