SPECIAL MODEL VERROU with Damascus blade The Thiers VERROU (lock) knife by Claude Dozorme is a folding knife. The mechanism that locks and unlocks the blade is particularly interesting. This ingenious lock was developed by an aeronautical engineer from Auvergne and patented by Claude Dozorme. The handle scales of the VERROU are made of olivewood. SONDERMODELL VERROU mit Damastklinge Das Thiers-Messer VERROU (Schloß) von Claude Dozorme ist ein Schliess-Messer. Ganz besonders interessant ist der Mechanismus, welcher die Klinge feststellt bzw. wieder entriegelt. Am Ende des Messerrückens befindet sich ein kleiner Schnappverschluss. Über diesen verriegelt und entriegelt man die Klinge. Auch im geschlossenen Zustand wird die Klinge verriegelt.Dieser geniale Verschluss wurde von einem Luftfahrt-Ingeniuer aus der Auvergne entwickelt und von Claude Dozorme patentiert. Die Griffschalen des VERROU's wurden aus schöne gemaserter Hornspitze gefertigt. Das traditionelle Material besticht durch seine Optik und Haptik. Das elegante Messer liegt gut in der Hand. Blickfang des Verous ist die Damastklinge aus dem Hause Markus Balbach. Der rostfreie Damaststahl DSC® STAINLESS aus dem Hause Markus Balbach, hat eine Rockwellhärte von etwa 62HRC. Der Stahl hat ein feines Gefüge und überzeugt durch seine Schnitthaltigkeit. Im Jahre 1980 wurde diese Messerform, welche auf der seit dem Jahre 1528 bekannten Form basiert, von einer Jury, welcher auch Claude DOZORME angehört, als das Le THIERS deklariert.
