He chose a modern composite of fiberglass and acrylic resin for the handle scales. Paired with a natural bamboo backspacer, the result is a refined interplay of contrast and harmony—between the synthetic and the organic, modernity and nature. For the blade, Roland Lannier uses high-quality, edge-retaining 14C28N Sandvik steel. This stainless steel is cryogenically treated and hardened to approximately 60 HRC. The blade is finely hand-sharpened and finished with a matte surface. It locks securely via a precise linerlock mechanism.
