Marie Taillardat Le 1925 philippine ebony burl
Le 1925 – The debut creation of master bladesmith Marie Taillerdat from Thiers, crafted in homage to her grandfather.
The handle shells are made from unique Philippine ebony burl. Philippine ebony burl is a very hard, dense and durable wood that is highly resistant to everyday wear and tear. Its warm brown tones and vibrant grain give each handle shell a unique character.

Coutellerie Marie Taillardat
Marie Tailerdat - cutler in Thiers
In 2013, Marie Taillardat began an apprenticeship at the renowned Atelier Perceval forge. The talented young woman was soon given the responsibility of producing chef's knives, sommliers and pocket knives. After a few years, she decided to set up her own business and founded her own company, Coutellerie Marie Taillardat, in March 2020 at the age of 29. Her first work is the 1925 model, a tribute to her grandfather, who shaped Marie's life. Marie now produces the 1925 BB, the smaller version of her first piece.
