A stylish, single-edged Laguiole sommelier knife, handcrafted in the traditional French cutlery village of Laguiole en Aubrac. It is made by a cutler following time-honoured traditions, involving many stages of skilled craftsmanship.
Handle scales made from recycled abalone and mussel shells. The small pieces are stabilised with resin using a special process. The handle material, which feels very pleasant to the touch, is then polished to create a slightly matt, smooth surface. The finish has a subtle 3D effect.
The obligatory bee adorns the back of the knife. The sommelier knife has a matt finish.
The waiter’s knife lies comfortably and securely in the hand. The solid corkscrew ensures effortless and clean uncorking, whilst the sharply ground foil cutter facilitates the neat removal of the foil.
These professional waiter’s knives are the preferred choice in upmarket restaurants – valued for their durability, functionality and stylish design.
The spiral channel (the space between the coils) distributes the pulling force evenly, thus preventing the cork (even longer ones) from breaking; the leverage is perfectly balanced, making it easier to pull the cork out.
