A unique piece with a feather-patterned damask blade Handcrafted liner-lock gentleman’s knife from Tim Bernard’s workshop (Atelier NÉVÉ) in Thiers. An exceptional knife, whose design is inspired by the elegant lightness and grace of feathers. The stainless steel handle is adorned with intricately crafted feather motifs, at the centre of which a shimmering mother-of-pearl bead adds a touch of sophistication.
The feather damask blade, forged by Tim Bernard himself, captivates with its expressive, feather-like pattern, which lends this one-of-a-kind piece an unmistakable aesthetic. The blade has a hardness of approximately HRC 60. Feather damask is one of the most labour-intensive forms of damask steel production. The blanks are artfully finished with hand-hammered guilloché, whilst the spacer is elaborately decorated.
Tim Bernard created the Névé in 2015 on the occasion of the competition of the Institut National des métiers d'art at the end of his training. He comes from the Hautes Alpes (05) and wanted to design a knife with a fluid and lively shape that resembles Alpine rivers ...
Tim describes it as great luck to have been trained by Manu Laplace 1515. The skills and refined abilities learned there guarantee quality products made with passion and care.
